Spa Terms and Conditions


Spa Medical Consultations
Cookswood Holiday Retreats main focus is always your health and well-being. Please notify us in advance if you are currently pregnant, have any allergies, have a cardiac disease, have a documented medical condition, or are taking any prescribed medicines. On arrival, you will receive a comprehensive consultation, however if you are aware of any contraindications, your selected therapy may need to be adjusted.

 

Pregnancy

  • Please keep in mind that we do not provide face or body treatments to women who are 1-13 weeks pregnant.

  • After 13 weeks, we offer a variety of specialised luxury pregnancy treatments.

  • If you require any more assistance, please contact a member of the Spa Team. Pregnant women are highly discouraged from using any heat or hydrotherapy facilities.

Payment for a spa service

  • All individual treatments need full payment at the time of booking.

  • All treatment times are subject to availability and are non-transferable 24 hours before your treatment.

Payment for a spa day

  • For all-day packages, full payment is necessary at the time of booking.

  • Reservations are non-transferable if cancelled within 7 days of your booking.

  • Treatment hours for the spa day will be assigned between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m./5 p.m. and will be confirmed to you upon arrival.

  • All appointments and treatment times at the spa are subject to availability.

Method of payment

  • All fees include VAT.

  • Additional treatments will be paid at the standard rates. All major credit cards are accepted.

  • Pre-booked extra treatments will be paid at the prices in effect at the time of booking.

Spa Cancellations
Cancellation of a spa service

  • We require 48 hours' notice of cancellation, after which a 100% fee will be applied. We recommend that customers consider purchasing cancellation insurance to cover the cancellation of their spa treatment.

  • There will be no reimbursement if you do not arrive for your treatment on time.

  • Cancellation of a spa day

  • We require 7 days' notice of cancellation, after which a 100% fee will be applied. We recommend that clients consider purchasing cancellation insurance to cover the cancellation of their spa day.

  • There will be no reimbursement if you do not arrive for your treatment on time.

Spa Facility Terms and Conditions

  • If required, the spa has the right to change your treatment hours on the day.

  • Please keep in mind that treatment time includes a medical consultation, set up, and your chosen therapy.

  • All therapy changes are subject to alternative availability.

  • The Spa at Cookswood is a non-smoking establishment. The Spa has a stringent no-smoking policy on its premises and outside boundaries, in accordance with UK legislation.

  • Outside the building, there are designated smoking spaces for people who prefer to smoke.

  • In the spa, we ask that cell phones be kept on mute or turned off.

  • During your stay, we would like to request that any tablets and pagers be turned off/on mute. We will gladly take any messages via the reception area.

  • There is no photography allowed in the changing rooms or poolside.

  • As you may be required to remove jewellery during treatments, we recommend that you leave your jewellery in a safe location.

  • Cookswood Holiday Retreats shall not be liable for any damage, injury, or consequential loss, however caused, to our customers, their property, or possessions. Unless it is completely attributable to the Company, its employees, or agents' fault.

  • Offers cannot be utilised in combination with one another and are limited in number.

  • We recommend that customers seek insurance to cover the cancellation of their spa treatments/spa day. Please keep in mind that guests with heart issues, high blood pressure, or who are pregnant will be unable to use any of our heat experiences.

Children

  • Children under the age of 16 are not authorised to use or accompany anybody above the age of 18 to the spa or its amenities.

  • Children under the age of 16 are not authorised to receive any form of spa treatment.Body massages, body treatments, and bikini waxes are not permitted for children aged 16 to 17.

  • Children aged 16 to 17 may have the following treatments while being supervised (in the same room) by a parent or guardian: manicure/pedicure, facial

You are presumed to have agreed to our terms and conditions by making a reservation with us.
All contracts with us are made subject to the terms of these booking conditions and are governed by English laws and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
