Cookswood was born in 2004 from the idea of regenerating land to create an environment where families can enjoy quality time in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The development site is over 90 acres, which is surrounded by over 400 acres of woodland and country walks, and will be home for 143 timber chalets of traditional and contemporary design. Key features will include a nature study centre, swimming pool, spa and a restaurant overlooking a 9 acre lake.

Planning permission was received in July 2010 and detailed design has commenced. The scheme will incorporate technology harnessing sustainable and renewable energies.
